Cathedral Quarter

When the Christians took Granada, they chose the flat area for themselves and forced the Moorish population to squeeze together in the Albaicin and on the flanks of the Alhambra hill. They called this "lower city" La Plataforma and transformed it into a Renaissance-style town, the center of which was the Cathedral - built on the site of the Great Mosque, and next to the great bazaar. This is the starting point for Lorenzo's virtual tour of the lower city...
